In September 2007, the Art Gallery of York University organized Black Creek United an interdisciplinary art workshop that took place at “The Spot”, a youth drop-in centre at Yorkgate Mall. Click here.

Mark Simms visited Ms. DeSantis' class at St. Francis DeSales to give a presentation to the students. The class worked on murals to show their thoughts about living in the area. Check it out here.

August 18, 2007 - Together for Jesus Parade
The Ministry of Attorney General presents a United Way screening of CBC's Lost in the Struggle. Mark Simms and Paul Nguyen were in attendance to give a short presentation. Check it out here.

Many local Churches in the Jane-Finch area and neighbors held the 2007 Together for Jesus caravan parade. The parade toured the streets along Driftwood Avenue. Check it out here.

Webmaster Paul Nguyen was one of the special guests invited to meet with the Governor General of Canada, Michaelle Jean. The meeting took place at City Hall on February 21, 2006. Take a look here.

Mark Simms and Mark Dezilva appear on 100 Huntley Street. They were part of a round table discussion to stop the violence along with other community leaders and pastors. The taping took place inside Elmbank Community Centre.

1999 - Much Music Stop Racism awards show
Paul Nguyen and Chris Williams are among the 10 national winners across Canada in Much Music's Stop Racism Video Competition. The awards showed aired in 1999.

The Academy of Martial Arts & Sciences is now offering a summer camp program for children. Activities include games, swimming, park training, soccer, sumo wrestling, taekwondo training, karate, water balloon fights, movies and much more. Contact Master Dezilva at (416) 631-0888. Introducing Canada's Youngest Khmer Rock Band, White Tiger.
