Birth Control was a 2nd year York University student film
project by Paul Nguyen.
Principal photography for Birth Control was completed during March
2004. Birth Control was an official selection at 2004 New York Independent
Film and Video Festival and the March Movie Marathon in New York
City. Paul Nguyen also served as an actor and fight
choreographer. Birth Control also marks the return of
Paul Nguyen and Mark Simms' childhood friend, stunt
actor Sophy Kong. Sophy appeared in over 100
short films directed by Paul Nguyen and Mark Simms spanning 1994 to 2001.
Trivia: Paul Nguyen replaced Mark Simms in the climatic battle
scene with Faruk, because Mark wore a different shirt on
shooting day.
