Hello,
My name is Donald Blair. I contributed an article to the Jane-Finch.com
website.
I've stated in the past, and continue to believe that the Jane-Finch
community is
among the best places to live in Toronto. I also believe that it's
widely and
grossly misunderestimated. And I also firmly believe that the Jane-Finch.com
website
has really helped to bridge the community in a way no one ever
thought imaginable.
I am writing to commend your efforts in continuing to shed light in
the often
purposely darkened corners of that great community. I'd like also to
comment on the
recent update to your website, the Oakdale Park Junior High visit.
My former
apartment building, 2775 Jane, looked out to the school. It was to
be my junior high
upon finishing at Yorkwoods E.S., but I left North York to move
downtown briefly
before finally settling in Scarborough. To this day, I have not set
foot inside
Oakdale Park - and imagine my surprise when I learned they wear
uniforms there now!
It was heartening to see the trip and the hard work that your team
contributes to a
better and more productive society.
Congratulations! I may be a devout Scarborough resident, but my
heart has always
long belonged to Jane and Finch.
Sincerely,
Donald Blair
